Dueaa Goes To London
Tonight’s the night!

As I’m finishing up this dreadful packing I realized two things 1) packing is a pain in the neck and 2) the airline industry is plain cruel to allow coach passengers only one piece of luggage regardless of how much time he/she intends to stay at his/her destination. I’m already going to have to pay for my second piece of luggage regardless but I really think they should make luggage allowances based on how long you’re staying in your respective destination not on which class your flying. Enough of my ranting. The good thing is is that this will all be over soon and I’ll be at the airport in a matter of hours ready to board my plane. I just checked my flight status and it’s still scheduled to be on time despite the “severe” weather conditions in London…aka “extreme flurries”.

I’m definitely focusing on the fact that by tomorrow morning I will be in London. It’s a little surreal to think that one minute I’m here in New York and the next I’ll be starting a great semester half-way across the world. I’m very optimistic about SOAS and the great classes I’ll be taking there. More importantly, I can’t wait to finalize my travel plans for my month off and weekends. I’m really trying to book my trips based on what is going on in that specific area, i.e.: I’m planning on going to Dublin for St. Patrick’s Day. I’ll keep you guys posted once I figure out what exactly I’m doing.

I’ll be at JFK in a few hours (hopefully I won’t be hassled to much), in the meantime I’ll be finishing packing, running to the bank, and buying a laptop sleeve. Oh! I also figured out how to enable comments on my posts so please comment away!
